In the past year, Brazil has experienced a significant increase in antisemitic incidents, with 989 cases reported in 2025, a 149% rise from 2022. The majority of these incidents occurred online, particularly on platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. In September 2026, the Federal Police conducted Operation Nêmesis, targeting individuals promoting Nazi ideology and other forms of discrimination online. While the operation led to the seizure of materials associated with Nazi propaganda, no arrests were made. Despite these efforts, antisemitism remains a persistent issue in Brazil, with no significant decline observed in recent years. Given the Israeli government's travel advisory, which recommends enhanced caution in the Triple Border area and standard precautions elsewhere, Jewish and Israeli travelers should exercise increased vigilance, especially in regions near the borders with Argentina and Paraguay....
