I recently traveled all over Albania and found people there so tolerant and welcoming. Heard Hebrew spoken, saw young locals with Jewish star necklaces, and our hotel in Shkoder had a menorah on their check-in counter.

I've visited 3 times in Larnaca, Paphos and Limassol. All very enjoyable. Some antisemitic/anti-Israel graffiti. In Limassol on the beach we were accosted by a shouty "Free Palestine!" Muslim who tried to intimidate us. A friendly Larnaca local warned against walking alone at night looking Jewish.

I was in Saint Quentin, France for work on 6 June 2026 wearing a visible Kippa and Tzitzit. I refuse to hide who I am. A Muslim man with his children in the back seat of his SUV swerved his vehicle towards us and accelerated as we were carrying our luggage from the street into the Best Western Le Picardy Hotel. A community member who spends part of each year in Parma reports that a "Free Palestine" banner has hung on the city's publicly owned opera house for roughly two years, to the exclusion of any other banners, and that pro-Palestinian messaging including the Palestinian flag was incorporated into one of the theatre's performances. The report also refers to an upcoming trial over the confrontation with members of the Jewish Brigade, who were pushed out of a recent civic commemoration parade in the city.

I was just in Athens - August 2026 - I did not experience any direct antisemitism but I did feel very uncomfortable. My hotel was in the "anarchists" neighbourhood where I saw a lot of disturbing antisemitic graffiti calling for direct violence.

In my opinion, the Philippines is a very safe place for Jews. You don't have antisemitism when the local population don't even know what a Jew is! There was some 'trouble' in Siargao but video reporting shows it was Israelis getting over excited with the locals there.

This is a double-edged sword. While it's true that the local population are mostly ignorant of what a Jew is, that also means that they are easily convinced of propaganda. I know because I am from the Philippines and I observe what's happening in social media and anti-semitism is increasing.
