In Zurich, Switzerland, recent incidents have raised concerns about antisemitism affecting Jewish and Israeli travelers. In February 2026, a 40-year-old Kosovar man physically assaulted a 26-year-old Orthodox Jewish man in Zurich's 3rd district, making antisemitic remarks during the attack. The assailant was subdued by passers-by and arrested by the police. Additionally, between March 2024 and January 2026, 23 antisemitic incidents were reported in Zurich's schools, ranging from graffiti to physical assaults. These events indicate a concerning trend of rising antisemitic sentiment in the city. In late September, a Swiss party criticized the Zurich Film Festival's Israel-critical programming; this was a political dispute, with no threat or attack reported.
