Jewish/Israeli symbols should be kept to a minimum
In the past year, New Brunswick, New Jersey, has experienced several antisemitic incidents, including vandalism at the Rutgers-affiliated HELIX building in September 2026, where symbols associated with Hamas were spray-painted. Additionally, in 2025, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) reported 18 antisemitic incidents in New Brunswick, with 7 occurring at Rutgers University. Despite a slight decrease in overall incidents, New Jersey remains among the top states for antisemitic activity, with incidents 86% higher than five years ago. The Israeli government currently considers the United States, including New Jersey, safe to travel, advising travelers to exercise normal precautions....
