In the past year, Pomona, California, has experienced several antisemitic incidents, including protests at Pomona College and the University of California, leading to settlements over antisemitism allegations. In December 2025, Pomona College acknowledged that many Jewish students perceive anti-Zionism as antisemitism and committed to protecting them from such conduct. The college also banned masked protests and appointed a Civil Rights Coordinator. In September 2026, Cal Poly Pomona condemned the discovery of a swastika on campus and initiated an investigation. Despite these incidents, the Israeli government maintains a travel advisory status of "safe to travel" for the United States; given the recurring campus incidents, the safety level for Jewish and Israeli travelers in Pomona is assessed as "caution."...
