In July 2026, a fire was deliberately set in an empty building in downtown Zionsville, Indiana, causing significant damage. Investigators found the fire started from an Israeli flag displayed outside the building, leading authorities to treat the incident as hate-motivated arson. A 17-year-old was arrested in connection with the fire and the case remains under investigation. The Israeli government considers the United States, including Zionsville, safe to travel with normal precautions, but given a hate-motivated arson targeting an Israeli flag the safety level for Jewish and Israeli travelers in Zionsville is assessed as 'caution'....
