The Executive Council of Australian Jewry recorded 1,654 anti-Jewish incidents across Australia from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025, compared with 2,062 in the preceding year. On August 24, an Israeli-Australian family reported that a woman allegedly directed antisemitic abuse at them at Melbourne Airport; airport security intervened, and the Anti-Defamation Commission called for a police investigation. In mid-October, rallies in several cities were reported as peaceful, with no incidents targeting Jews or Israelis. Stay alert around demonstrations and Jewish community sites, and follow local security guidance....

As a Sabra who has lived in Australia for 70 years I can tell you that Australians don't care about Jews enough to be hostile. Antisemitism has always been in the Australian venacular as a result of British migrants from more than 100 years ago. Stay away from Sydney and Melbourne.

As someone born and bred in Bondi, I agree with the above, but from Pesach of 2023, the Australian landscape had changed considerably. Like most western countries, Australia does not value its freedoms and does not protect them. Australia is not a safe place to be openly Jewish due to migration.

I lived near the University of Sydney and it was extremely hostile. There is a strong presence of extremism and us jews were nearly attacked by hundreds of people in May 2024 at our protest there
