Vienna is generally safe for Haredim or other visibly Jewish persons. There is however a gradient in as far as some districts, like the 10th are less safe due to the population structure there, while the 2nd District, where Orthodox Jews tend to live can be condidered safe. The countryside can be considered very safe, by the way. General advice, avoid railway stations late at night, but that is basically a universal thing.

A Jewish friend of mine who used to live in Vienna told me that antiโsemitism is still a big problem there. She also said ... she experienced rude awakenings more than enough โฆ

It is currently safe and relatively quiet. I saw an interview on TV with a Jew who said that he has been taking off his kippah on his way home ever since.
