In August 2026, a group of Italian Jewish students in Bansko, Bulgaria, were verbally harassed by individuals displaying neo-Nazi symbols. The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry condemned the act, emphasizing that such behavior is unacceptable in a democratic society. Authorities are actively investigating the incident.
