Jewish/Israeli symbols should be kept to a minimum
As of August 21, 2026, there have been no reported antisemitic incidents or hostility toward Jewish or Israeli travelers in Mykonos, Greece, over the past year. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a travel advisory for Greece, recommending increased caution due to planned pro-Palestinian demonstrations in various cities, including Mykonos. The Central Board of Jewish Communities in Greece has expressed concern over a series of antisemitic incidents in Athens and other parts of the country aimed at intimidating Israeli tourists and people wearing Jewish symbols or speaking Hebrew; no such incidents have been reported in Mykonos. The Israeli Ambassador to Greece, Pninat Yanay, recently spent a family holiday in Mykonos, highlighting the strong people-to-people ties between Israel and Greece. Given the nationwide rise in antisemitic incidents and the 'be cautious when traveling' advisory, the safety level for Jewish and Israeli travelers in Mykonos is assessed as 'caution'....
