We were in Athens and Naxos in April 2026. Athens was absolutely covered in "F Israel" graffiti, and worse... on the pedestrian streets right near the Acropolis, there was vile graffiti we had to pass with our young children: "Jew c*nt baby killers." Painted large and red on a major passageway. We had to distract our children several times from seeing it. Our entire trip was spent scanning walls to make sure our kids didn't see blatant Jew hate. I was just in Athens - August 2026 - I did not experience any direct antisemitism but I did feel very uncomfortable. My hotel was in the "anarchists" neighbourhood where I saw a lot of disturbing antisemitic graffiti calling for direct violence.

I was just there. Felt fine except for a particular student neighborhood in Athens where I hid my Magen David necklace. Lots of Palestinian flags and “river to sea” graffiti and posters.
