In the past year, Moldova has experienced isolated antisemitic incidents, including the vandalism of Jewish cemeteries with swastikas. Such events are rare, and the Jewish community remains active, with a new chief rabbi appointed in April 2026. The Israeli government currently considers Moldova safe for travel, advising normal precautions. Antisemitic attitudes persist and isolated vandalism continues, and absent a documented change on the ground the assessed severity is retained at 'caution'....
