Jewish/Israeli symbols should be kept to a minimum
In the past year, there have been no reported antisemitic incidents specifically in Marseille, France. Nationally, however, France recorded 1,320 antisemitic acts in 2025 and 533 in the first half of 2026, levels that remain historically high, and in August 2026 an Australian Jewish couple was violently attacked in a French supermarket. The Israeli government's travel advisory for France remains at 'be cautious when traveling.' Given the national context and the advisory, the safety level for Jewish and Israeli travelers in Marseille is assessed as 'caution'....
