Stay alert, keep symbols hidden, don’t identify as Jewish or Israeli
The SPCJ recorded 1,320 antisemitic incidents across France in 2025, down from 1,570 in 2024, with incidents reported across most of the country.
On October 23, a court in Avignon gave an Irish man a six-month suspended sentence for antisemitic death threats against a Jewish Australian couple. During unrest on October 17–18, a Paris synagogue was broken into; Jewish security officials said there was no evidence it was deliberately targeted and considered attempted theft more likely. Protests and clashes later in October disrupted travel and led to public venues closing.

I was in Lyon (France) earlier this month … we were absolutely fine. Also there was a lot less … pro Palestine graffiti … than I expected
