Since then the right‑wing has strengthened politically... in Jewish spaces you will of course be fine; but it's in the intermediate public areas... that you would probably want to exercise caution and not display Jewishness openly.

Most of the Netherlands is probably fine. I walked around Amsterdam with a kippah pre‑war and it was fine but nowadays it is probably a bit more risky to do that.
